COURSE OVERVIEW

Policing the Dark addresses working in an environment where most critical incidents take place for law enforcement officers...the dark.  This course has a strong focus on vehicle stops, where most law enforcement officers conduct business. Students will learn methods to use their patrol vehicle's lights, as well as their personal lights to create a safe advantage on TRAFFIC STOPS, as well as BUILDING SEARCHES.  These methods are validated through scenario based training and real life incidents.  Each student will be given the opportunity to test and validate these techniques for themselves through practical exercises using force-on-force training weapons.
